7:30pm - 1:00am, Friday 24th February 2012

Live charity music event to support street kids in Peru.

Join a host of live bands from 'The just Jazz and blues band' the dynamic duo of the 'Gentleman thief' and the Amazing 'Druw' and DJ’s including DJ Dirty Laces with guest performances by the renowned theatre company FIGS IN WIGS, to help raise money and support street children at the ELIM orphanage, Cusco, Peru.

Tickets £5 in advance or £6 on the door. Please help us raise vital funds that will make a life-changing difference and give hope to these orphaned children.

What is Elim?

The life of street children is very hard. Day in, day out, in the Peruvian city of Cusco more than 1000 street children have to fight for their survival, the streets are their home. They sleep in the cold and the rain, they have to steal for their food, often they use drugs and don’t go to school. ELIM offers these children a shelter and a place to rest. It also gives them love, protection and a chance for a new beginning. Through the continued work of ELIM these children are given care and hope for a better future.

The money raised will allow continued food and shelter for these orphaned boys and girls. It will also provide hope for these children, through an education scheme that will give these children an opportunity for paid further education so that they may better themselves and their families.

Wonderhill Market!

Wonderhill Market Returns!

Providing a platform for artists, designers and makers to showcase and sell their wonders in a collectively driven environment. Supporting local artists and ethical shopping, we also include Up-cycled items, clothing and vintage.
Each event is curated to ensure diversity and offer a wide range of products and although we do have our regulars, they, alongside with our new traders always offer fresh ranges of items.

The perfect place to find that one-off special something amongst the treasure trove that takes over the venue. A gem of a find against the number of markets that boast mass produced items along with the Highstreet.
Offering something for everybody, outside of the stalls we regularly feature great music, sometimes acoustic, eaty treats, fab cake, tea and cocktails. Definitely well worth a second rummage or just an afternoon out for the sweet tooth and drinking arm!

LITTLE SHADOWS

Little Shadows are back at the miller, self promoting their own night again and will be launching their second single "Memories".
"Memories" has become a firm favourite of the band and followers alike with it's powerful beat, excellent melody and fantastic lyrics.

This is sure to be a great night of new and local music and asking for more!!!!

Joining Little Shadows on the night are The Harlots, rival and bastru.
Doors open 7pm, £5 entry.

Little Shadows are Dan, Jay, Lee and Jimmy, four lads born and raised in Bermondsey, South East London. All four have known each other since their primary school days. Having all come of age in the Britpop explosion, the boys caught the tail end of a vibrant local music scene and, in September 2010, they decided to form a band that would revive it.

Incorporating a range of influences from The Jam to Squeeze and The Smiths to The Kinks stolen from their parents record collections, Little Shadows' music tells the tales of love, life and loss as it's happening right now south of the river. It draws on the history of the docks and the tanneries and never forgets to celebrate the good times.

In March 2011, Little Shadows completed recording their debut single with record producers The Animal Farm which is scheduled for release later in 2011.

Follow the band on www.facebook.com/littleshadows for news on their upcoming shows and releasesAlso on twitter @littleshadowswww.littleshadows.co.uk

The Harlots

Their influence and sound is derived from classic British Rock 'n' Roll such as The Beatles, all the way to The Libertines' punk and iconic bands of the 90's.

rival

Rival recently returned to the gig scene after taking time out to work on new material and record their first single, The Masquerade.

"Rival play for the true lovers of rock n' roll. Gritty guitar chords and dirty raw voices will keep you shaking and stomping the whole night." - spoonfed.co.uk

"Rival play bluesy-indie with a la Kings of Leon with shimmering shades of Nirvana." - ents24.com

"Rival are a young 4 piece rock outfit based in London. With influences ranging from Foo Fighters to Stereophonics and Nirvana to Led Zepplin. Their classic crunching rock sound will have you punching the air and screaming for more" - HotVox
