OBE plays epic, sprawling music, which sweeps from heavy, complex math-rock-riffery to delicate, almost ambient passages. Formed in 2009, the band have self-released two eps: ‘Rebuild’ (2010) and ‘Act Two’ (2011) and played around the UK with some of the best names in the UK DIY scene (Brontide, Vessels, You Slut!, Alright the Captain, Shapes) They are known for their energetic live shows and un-ironic love of smoke machines and lasers.
Dave Morait - Vocals/Guitar (former drums man with now sadly defunct Gallops), along with Andrew Stokes and Jason Williams are seasoned and accomplished live performers, with a number of previous projects and successful shows under their belts. Orient Machine deliver sublimely tight, technical performances in a storm of energy and enthusiasm!
Originating from the North Wales/Shropshire countryside, Portlights produce masterful alternative indie anthems, and are known for their love of big guitar sounds and bigger drums. These three good friends combine vocals reminiscent of David Bowie and Black Francis of Pixies fame; with the soulful instrumentation of early Radiohead and uplifting choruses taken from influences such as Arcade Fire, The Joy Formidable and Two Door Cinema Club.
