Stuff Happens

If you are interested in promoting an event at The Miller it is best to give us a ring to discuss it and check for availability.  We do not charge a room hire fee.  Basically our policy is that we make our money from selling food and drink so if you wish to charge entry you can keep all of the money.

We have a capacity in the upstairs venue of 100 standing.  It is also possible to book the whole pub on a Saturday night or Sunday - with a capacity of about 300 plus the garden.

We have decks and PA kit.

We are a small but perfectly formed venue in the back streets of Borough SE1 – capacity upstairs of 100, about 300 downstairs, with a late license. Most nights we have four bands playing from about 7.30 onwards, all for just a fiver.

Playing a gig at the Miller

We aim to provide a friendly welcoming atmosphere and will help all bands with whatever whenever possible. We are not here just to pull pints! Our mates regularly gig here and some of us have been known to come out from behind the bar and onto the stage.

Demos: If you would like a gig at The Miller please email us a demo - Jamie@themiller.co.uk . Email is best as we can forward your details on to our promoters. We prefer links, not attachments (files can be very slow to download). A link to your website or Myspace/Facebook is great if you have one. Please include some basic information such as where you are from and where you have played and be honest about the following you have so that we can put you in the right slot. You don’t want an empty venue any more than we do.

We do listen to everything, but we cannot always reply to every email. If you think we have missed you just give Jamie a ring, (020 73578204) or send the email again.

Promoting your gig: We generally book four bands a night, if everyone brings a crowd then each band will get to play to plenty of new faces. You are welcome to copy any of our artwork from this web site or www.myspace.com/millerlondon

We are always keen to meet filmmakers who wish to screen their work.

We have two rooms available - one with a capacity of 25/30 sitting and one with a capacity of 50/60 sitting (100 standing).

These rooms are available free of charge - there is no room hire fee. (If you wish to charge entry you will be entitled to keep all of the money.)

We can promote your event on our web site, to our email database, and in our listings.

We aim to provide Filmmakers with a platform to display their work in a friendly welcoming atmosphere.
